My Radiant Orchid Makeup Picks ♥

Hey beauties! xoxo

With Pantone's Colour Of The Year being 'Radiant Orchid', I thought what better way to include this gorgeous colour into one of my blog post other than a makeup look? So that's what I will be doing in today's post, giving you guys some of my suggestions and top picks to get that touch of purple in your makeup routine.

Eyes

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow - Ultra Violet

If you're going for this trend on your eyes, I would recommend checking out this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in 'Ultra Violet' this vibrant shade can be used as an all over lid colour, crease colour or as an eyeliner for an intense burst of colour. This is sure to make any eye colour pop!

Maybelline Color Tattoo - Endless Purple

For another eyeshadow choice which can be used instead of powder eyeshadow or even as an eyeshadow base, I've chosen the 'Maybelline Color Tattoo' in 'Endless Purple'.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner - Asphyxia

For a brighter water line I have picked the 'Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner' in the shade 'Asphyxia'. This is perfect if you just want to interpret a subtle yet pop of this years colour trend.

LA Colors 5 Metallic Eyeshadow Palette - Lollipop

When I came across this gorgeous palette I just knew I had to include in 'My Radiant Orchid Makeup Picks'. This beautiful palette contains a range of different purple and pink hues and are spot on for this colour trend. A must have for any makeup lover in my opinion!

Lips

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Wild Orchid

I bet you can't guess why I chose this lipstick to be in my top picks for this trend? With a name like that I just couldn't pass it up and just knew I had to include this lipstick in this post. This pearlescent pinky purple hue is just perfect for this trend and bang on this season!

OCC Lip Tar - Hoochie

For a lip stain I definitely recommend the 'OCC Lip Tar' in 'Hoochie'. This gorgeous, vibrant shade will turn heads with its ultra pigmentation and silky smooth texture, you can't get any more radiant that this.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm - Whimsical

If you're going for a subtle yet buildable lip colour I would opt for the 'Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm' in 'Whimsical' this stunning pinky, purple shade is superb and ties in extremely well with the radiant orchid trend.

Face

Benefit Tinted Lip & Cheek Stain - Lollitint

For the cheeks this would have to be one of the easiest decisions for me. I chose 'Lollitint' by 'Benefit Cosmetics' as this tiny little bottle acts as both a cheek stain or lip tint and is the perfect orchid shade! This can be applied as subtle or as heavy as desired and will add an instant pop of radiance and colour to the cheeks or lips.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush - Orchid Hush

For a cream blush pick, I went for the 'Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush' in 'Orchid Hush' this pink blush with subtle purple hues will add the perfect amount of subtle yet detectable colour to the cheeks.

Benefit Box O' Powder Blush - Hervana

For a powder blush I had to go for Hervana, this beautiful rose and berry coloured blush is just the perfect pick for this trend and can be layered over a cheek tint or cream blush or worn on its own for a glowing complexion.

Nails

Essie - The Girls Are Out

I fell head over heals for this shade by Essie and just knew I had to include it in today's blog post. This gorgeous slightly shimmery pinky, purple varnish is just perfection in a bottle and if you want something radiant orchid I would highly recommend this as my top choice.

Zoya Nail Polish - Roxy

If you're going for a radiant orchid accent nail, 'Roxy' by 'Zoya' is your best bet. This berry pink/purple glitter is an absolute must have for all you nail addicts out there!

So there you have it guys, my own makeup picks for the colour of the year. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope this gave you some more ideas on how to wear 2014's colour.

Real Techniques Blush Brush Review ♥

Hey guys! xoxo

In today's post I will be sharing my views and opinions on the 'Real Techniques Blush Brush'. I've been using this brush for just under a year now and I thought it was about time to write up a review.

Appearance: First of all I'd just like to say how much I love the look of this brush. I love how sleek the whole brush looks from the metallic pink handle write up to the ombre black and white bristles. This blush brush looks beautiful stored with my other brushes as it gives my vanity a pop of colour. I love how the bottom of this brush is flat so you can stand it up on your counter/vanity.

Performance: This brush performs well as it deposits just the right amount of product onto the cheeks. I do like this however when using a blush with less pigment I would prefer a different brush as I want to be able to pick enough product up on my brush and then apply it onto my face without having to swirl my brush in the product several times. For highly pigmented blushes this is a superb brush.

Texture: Starting off with the bristles, the bristles on the 'Real Techniques Blush Brush' are ultra soft and gentle on the skin, they don't scratch or tug on the complexion and still feel silky smooth after washing/ cleaning of the brush. Next the handle has superb grip, the black bottom makes application easy as you can have total control on how you apply your products without have a slippery or unsteady grip.

Quality: I think this brush and all of the 'Real Techniques Brushes' are of great quality. Not only are they of great value but certain ones are better than high end brushes! There is no fall out from the bristles. They are very sturdy and well made. Overall I love this brush as they do exactly what they claim to do!

I hope you all enjoyed reading my views on the 'Real Techniques Blush Brush' and I hope this has helped you if you're thinking about purchasing this brush and wanted some in depth information on how well it preforms.

Monthly Favourites April 2014 ♥

Hey dolls! xoxo

Oh yes, you guessed it! In today's post I will be sharing with you all the things I've been loving for the Month of April. Gosh hasn't this month gone quick? It was only four posts ago I uploaded my 'Monthly Favourites March 2014'. I've really enjoyed the month of April as I've been trying and testing out quite a few new products and really enjoying the results! With that being said here are my favourites for April 2014.

Makeup

Bourjois Flower Perfection Primer

The first love of mine this month would definitely have to be this primer by Bourjois. Guys, I think I have found my one true love in the primer world! I love how this comes in a cute little pink pot and the texture is so luxurious and as it does not contain silicones I knew this was the one for me. This primer glides on so smoothly and effortlessly and creates a flawless canvas for your makeup, I love how airbrushed this primer makes my complexion.

Collection 2000 Blush - Trouble

Another makeup item I've really been enjoying this month is the 'Collection 2000 Blush' in 'Trouble'. Now having been a fan of their other blush in 'Bashful' I thought to give 'Trouble' a shot, and I love how this blush adds a radiant effect to the cheeks. This combines a blush and highlight in one so you can skip highlighter as this blush provides that beautiful sheen as well as incredible pigmentation to the cheeks.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow - Walking On Eggshells

This next product I just can't get enough of. I started using this around Easter time and have continued using it since. I absolutely love the three colours and think they are the perfect everyday shimmery neutrals that will really compliment any eye colour.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder

After rediscovering this hid away in my makeup collection I decided to dig it out around Easter as I thought it to be the perfect bronzer to use this spring. I love how this looks, it doesn't make your complexion muddy or orange it just adds the perfect bronzed glow to the cheeks.

Elf Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

At first I started using this primer again just to finish it up, but after using it on a regular basis this month I've really fallen back in love with it. For such an inexpensive price and high performance you just can't go wrong. I find this primer helps to keep my eyeshadow from creasing, looking vibrant and staying put. It's definitely worth a try.

Barry M Bronzer Brush

I have been loving this brush by Barry M this month. Although it states its a bronzer brush I have been using it as a powder brush to set my foundation in place. I wouldn't class this as my 'holy grail' powder brush, but for the price I do think its definitely worth a try. I've always been one to try different techniques when apply any sort of makeup and have been going in between different brushes and sponges to set my foundation in place for many years and currently I have been enjoying using this one!

Foundation Sponge

This next item is basically a dupe for the 'Beauty Blender'. I have had this sponge tucked away in its little package for many months now and at the start of April I decided to get it out and give it a whirl and I have been loving it! I love the flawless finish this sponge gives to my complexion. It's so quick and applies liquid foundation effortlessly, helping products to blend into the skin seamlessly.

Skincare

Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Breeze Shower Gel

After being a huge fan of their 'Coconut Lime Breeze Body Lotion', I just knew I had to try their shower gel in the same scent and I have been loving it! Now unfortunately I have not been able to use my own picture as I have used the shower gel all up this month because it's just so good! This highly scented, nourishing shower gel is a real treat which creates a superb luxurious lather and is so thick and creamy a real pamper every time you shower.

Primark Hand Sanitisers

Now being a huge fan of personal hygiene (haha) I just knew I had to these at the checkout of Primark! These are just so handy and smell gorgeous perfect to just throw in your handbag or keep on your desk as a quick freshen up and germ killer for your hands! You can never be caught short with these beauties!

So there you have it! All the things I have been loving for the month of April. I hope this helped you guys see the products I've been using and what I've been lusting over in the last month. I hope you all had a fantastic April and a great Easter and I hope this following month brings you even more happiness.
